Personal Injury

The lawyers in the Personal Injury Department of Scaiff LLP have been recovering compensation for people who have been injured as a result of someone else's negligence for many years.

If you have suffered an injury and are not sure of the next steps please call us to make an appointment for a free initial consultation.

From that meeting we can advise you of the best course of action and we may be able to act for you under a Conditional Fee Agreement (No Win, No Fee). Or it may be that your household, motor or other policy covers legal expenses.

We are members of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and have experience in helping people file claims for a wide range of cases, including:

- Accidents at work
- Trips and Slips
- Asbestosis
- Asthma
- Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
- European Health and Safety at Work Regulations
- RSI and Upper Limb Disorder claims
- Motoring Accidents

We find that Road Traffic Accidents and Claims for Clinical Negligence are becoming increasingly complex, for further information on both of these topics please follow these links:

Road Traffic Accidents

What should I do if I have an accident ?

Get names and addresses of the parties, witness/colleagues who saw or knew what happened. Make sure you seek treatment for your injuries. If bruised or scarred try to get some clear photos. If incurring expense, keep records/receipts otherwise we may not secure repayment. If involved in an RTA notify the police, get insurance details from the other parties, and pass any correspondence received from the other party to your insurers or representative.

For further information please call 01905 27505. Alternatively FREEPHONE 0800 328 9465 and ask to speak to our Personal Injury Department.

Clinical Negligence

Not all medical accidents occur as a result of negligence. In law, clinical negligence is defined as treatment which falls below acceptable standards of medical practice. To succeed in a claim you must also show that you have suffered loss or damage as a result of the poor standard of care which you received. So, in order to bring a compensation claim for clinical negligence, you (the claimant) must show that you have suffered a medical accident as a result of substandard treatment or negligence.
Our specialist knowledge and experience, together with our extensive network of contacts (including doctors and experts) means that Scaiff LLP can help to support your claim and bring quicker results.

We have specialist solicitors that are endorsed by the Law Society so that you can be assured you are dealing with qualified legal professionals.
