The partners at Scaiff LLP are delighted to announce that Solicitor Janice Leyland has recently been appointed as a partner. Janice Leyland started at Scaiff LLP in January 2018 appointed solicitor to head up the Family Law and Private Clients. Janice joined the firm as it sees steady growth in demand for its services. Celebrating her appointment as partner, she will lead the Family Law department, having previously worked for a number of firms as a Family Lawyer.
Janice studied Law at Birmingham University as a mature student and was admitted as a solicitor in 1999. Prior to joining Scaiff, Janice worked at Thursfields in Worcester, having previously been Partner at Maitland Walker in West Somerset, but decided to make the move back to Worcestershire to be closer to family. Janice has also been Partner at Davey Franklin Jones in Gloucester.
'Scaiff are a great firm to work for and a good fit for me. The values centre on client care and whilst we are a business, we offer something that has been lost in many corporate firms.'
'I enjoy helping people move forward during what is likely to be one of the most difficult periods of their lives. I look to find the most practical and cost effective solutions whilst achieving the best results I can. Obviously the work I do is very sensitive and emotional, and I feel that I have a good empathy with my clients. I would say one of my strengths is building relationships with clients which builds trust.'
Partner, Elizabeth Rimell says:
'We are thrilled to have Janice join the team. Janice brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will prove invaluable as we continue to grow.'
Janice is a highly experienced Family Lawyer advising on a wide range of family issues, including divorce, financial matters on separation, cohabitee property disputes, pre-nuptial agreements, and problems relating to the arrangements for children. Janice also has experience of advising on private client matters to include wills, probate, LPA's and Deputyship matters.
